Platform – Protocol – Place (v.01) (2019)
(ESP8266)

Most of our individual connectivity is dependent on the IEEE 802.11 wireless fidelity (WIFI) protocol. Whilst security standards surrounding public WIFI access have improved, the manipulation of shared WIFI space is still possible. WIFI spamming offers an alternative way in which to subvert, manipulate and/or transmit independent communications and information from device to device, using only radio waves and without connecting directly to the internet.

Captive Audience v.01 and Platform – Protocol – Place v.01 are ongoing experimental projects that explore the potential for incursions to take place between the user and the network.
